Trying to figure out dinner - not much in the fridge except for several lemons, onion, garlic...love soup, soooo....

Anyone ever hear of or have a recipie for lemon soup? I've had very lemony dal before which was good, but alas, I have no lentils...

Avgolemono is awesome, and it's easy to make a reasonable version of it. Basically you heat up some chicken broth (you could add some rice if you want), beat an egg with the lemon juice. Temper the egg mixture with some of the hot liquid, then pour the whole thing into the chicken broth. Yum!

I used to make this every day after school.

I think there's a Greek soup that is mainly lemons. Can't think of what else is in it, but it's very tasty.

If you have beef broth, you could make a tasty onion soup (plus some garlic!).

Or some pasta with garlic, oil, and lemon zest and a squirt of juice?
