taishoken eifukuchou 大勝軒 (review and an armload of pics)

everyone knows about that other taishoken, higashi ikebukuro's tsukemen worldwide heritage site that's closing in february. both this and the last time i went to japan, however, i made sure to pay a visit to taishoken in eifukuchou. completely unrelated but just as awesome, for their punch-bowl sized portions of wafu ramen cooked with dashi, sardines, yuzu, and all manner of goodness. it's a bit off the beaten path (like 20 minutes by local train) from shibuya into a residential area, but well worth it.
