Hello, I am looking for a restaurant that serves very good food that would be a nice choice for a rehersal dinner (downtown, old port, plateau, or quartier latin preferred). Any suggestions? Thanks!

    thanks very much for your suggestions! i have always been intrigued by pintxo..looks lively and nice. but have never been. it's an idea!

    the bistro justine would be so perfect probably, but it's too much of hike...i would prefer not making people take cabs.

    now if we were to move a little south....right d-town or to old mtl...(i'm just thinking of family staying d-town (square phillips, delta president kennedy)....what would you say? (;

      What about Holder in Old Montreal? Or of course Decca77 on Drummond and René-Lesveque. With their $35 prix fixe, it's a good deal and everyone eats extremely well.

      I think Pinxto would be perfect. Then again, I think it would be perfect for just about every occasion! The ambiance is just fantastic, as is the food.

        Pintxo is a gem but reserve early because since the Enroute article, they are extremely busy. Another suggestion would be Bistro Justine on Van Horne. They have about 25 seats and the owner is a great chef/waiter/sommelier
