Kitchenaid ice cream maker attachement-any tips?

Got one for christmas. My first batch will be gigner vanilla frozen yogurt. I've already thickened the yogurt by hanging it in the butter muslin.

Any other tips would be greatly appreciated!

  1. I got one a few months back and totally love it. My advice it to get the fillling good and cold before you mix it, but that goes with any ice cream maker. Also, for the KA, chill the mix in a bowl with a spout. This will make getting it into the mixer with the paddle going much easier. I've had some pretty significant spillage when I didn't use a spout. Otherwise, I haven't had any problems. Good luck and ENJOY!
