Lunch in Walnut Creek or Danville for tomorow

Hi, we are taking the day off tomorrow and do not know very much about dining in Walnut Creek or Danville. We would like recommendations for lunch. 2 people, price for lunch is not an object, but CHOW is- we eat all cuisines.

  1. Va de Vie can be good. Most of the things I've tried were tasty, although sometimes small for the price.
Focus is on wine, with a variety of flights.
From memory, tuna tartare, mini burger, fish and chips, that kind of stuff.

The last few reviews on Chowhound have been very poor, so we were not considering Va de Vie. When were you last there?

It has been a few months, and I wasn't super impressed by the food, but it's a nice space to sip a glass of wine and chat with some friends.
Sorry if I gave you a bum recc, I grew up in WC and don't consider many of the restaurants there worthy, so I think I subconsciously lower my standards when looking to eat out there. Va de Vie seems to be trying to do something different for the area, although they aren't hitting the mark consistently.

    2. In Danville, first choice would be Patrick Davids. Blackhawk Grille in Danville and Mudds in San Ramon are other options.

For Chinese, I would go with Tin's Tea House in Walnut Creek.

      1. Ephesus Kebab Lounge is good and so far as I know unique in the Bay Area--best Turkish food I've found, in a semi-upscale atmosphere instead of the usual dive.
