"Avenue Grille", Again!
Our second trip to the "A.G." was as good if not better than our first. We really like the neighborhood feel of this little room with very friendly and accommodating owners and staff.
Started off a very casual Saturday night dinner with pretty decent cheese fries with gravy, that were nicely seasoned. We'll have those again! My wife had the"Dot Ave. Deluxe Burger", which was covered with everything, sans the tomato and lettuce (available upon request). Don't be afraid of their burgers; this was gooood.
My dinner was on the daily specials, which was haddock, pan roasted with lemon, onions and capers. Served with rice pilaf and perfectly steamed spinach, made for a comfy meal that didn't leave room for the homemade coconut layer cake. (The owner, Lauren, makes the cakes.) We ate half, and took half home.
Wine by the glass is well selected and well priced, with a decent pour.
This is a spot we'll keep going back to. Someday I'll get to try something off their regular menu which has many interesting choices.
It's just a fun, comfortable place not to be missed.
