Library Alehouse's Burgers

Didn't see what the big deal was about the burgers here at the Library Alehouse in Santa Monica.

Pretty ordinary...got their premium burger that had filet mignon and porterhouse/whatever..it was 14 bucks, not worth it to be honest.

Hi guys..I enjoyed the food at Father's office and one thing at Library Alehouse. Their sweet potato fries at the former were quite good. The Burger was good w/ arugula but overrated. "Best burger ever" by GQ? Not quite. Unfortunately BOTH ARE BORING Bars...

At Library alehouse I got into a conversation with a nice gal from Chicago, who, everytime she comes to LA needs to get the goat cheese + papaya quesadillas. Nothing you couldn't make at home but Goat Cheese and Papaya...I have never seen it before, it was good.

I just had the burger at Library Alehouse. It gets the big ol' shrug from me, as it was neither good nor bad, nor were the sweet potato fries.

I still prefer Father's Office, and would have gone had it not been for the fact that a lot of places were closed on New Years Day.

Yes. It was Library Alehouse...I used to see buzz on their burgers somewhere...maybe it was the LA Times or something like that. I like F.O.'s alot.

Are you sure that you are not confusing Father's Office on Montana with the Library Alehouse? I like the Library Alehouse and the food is good, but beyond the beer, there really isn't a lot to comment on.

I don't think I've ever had a regular burger there, and much of the menu seems like things to be avoided on price-point alone... On the other hand, the ahi "burger" (not really a burger, it's a seared ahi steak) and cajun chicken sandwich are both delicious. My wife almost always gets the beet salad. Also, the fries tend to be great.
