Looking for a real butcher shop in Volusia County (DeLand, Orange City, Delray)???

I'd like to find a good butcher shop not part of a supermarket where I can order and buy cuts of meat. We live in Deland but would travel to find a place where we can buy quality meats. Deland, Lake Helen, Deltona, Sanford areas would be reasonably convenient, but if there isn't anything there I'd travel to Orlando or Daytona.

I think the mention of Delray in the title was supposed to be Deltona -- the poster is looking for Volusia or Seminole county butchers. But thanks for the tip! :-)

I've only been to the Ormond Beach Gaff's, and I would recommend it. It's small and it's not fancy, but the meats are good quality, and the prices are fair.

Petty's in Longwood right off of I-4 on 434. Gets very busy on Saturdays but they usually have a wine tasting to kill time until your number is called.

I've been to the Petty's in Suntree (Melbourne) and it's excellent. More variety than Gaff's, which just deals in meat.

Gaff's, without a doubt. There's one on Nova Road in Ormond Beach -- 663 S Nova Rd, (386) 673-2667 -- and one on Spruce Creek and Nova Road in Port Orange -- 4036 S Nova Rd # A, (386) 761-2520.

I go to the Port Orange one all the time, and their meats are superb -- and surprisingly reasonable! I got fantastic ribs there, stuffed pork chops, chicken breasts, everything is great. Their specials change often, but I'm sure they could do anything you ask for. Also a Boar's Head deli with sandwiches cheaper than you'd find at Publix.

I don't know much about West Volusia but I'll ask around today and post again if I find something.
