New Years Day Soulfood (Eagle Rockish)

Chris O Dec 24, 2006 05:10 PM

I just realized that New Years Day is upon us, and M&M's soul food is no longer their. Where's a good place in North East L.A.-Pasadena-Glendale for soul food. Must have black eyed peas and greens. I was thinking Roscoe's, but open to suggestions. Somewhere less crowded would be nice.

Larkin's isn't officially open yet but they are doing tastings. They have several scheduled over the weekend so give them a call. The menus sound delicious.

There's a restaurant on Lake Ave. in Pasadena, north of Roscoe's, called Big Mama's Rib Shack (I'm pretty sure that's the name) - on the west side of the street, south of Woodbury. They've greens on their regular menu - might be worth calling to find-out about the black eyed peas.

There's the new soul food restaurant in Eagle Rock. Anyone been?
