Pupusas - Ktown? WLA?

I play at a weekly poker game on friday nights in WLA, and wouldn't mind grabbing some pupusas for myself and the other guys who have never had it. I had pupusas for the first time last week with some Salvadorean friends at El Buen Gusto #4 in Atwater(?). Good stuff - loroco and revuelta - to think that I drive by all those pupuserias every day... I work in Ktown and will be driving to the game in Brentwood. Any good places?

There is a restaurant on the NW corner of Beverly Bl. and, I think, Berendo. They have great papusas. After you have gone there once, I recommend calling ahead. They can take awhile to make. I did a taste test several years ago of all the places in that neck of the woods. My favorites so far are still Delmy's at the Hollywood Farmers Market.

The best pupusas I've had outside of El Salvador are at La Nueva Flor Blanco on the north side of Beverly, just west of Normandie. Their chicharron and revueltas are amazing.

My office partner is from El Salvador and took me to this little family run pupusa house/restaurant. Don't know the name, but it's a little house like building on the corner of 3rd and Rampart. Our offices are in k-town as well and we go there frequently for lunch. Great Chicken Soup too!

Rampart or Alvarado? (I remember there's a pupuseria near the intersection of 3rd & Alvarado -- though having another in the former wouldn't surprise me either.)

It's Rampart and 3rd to be exact. Very non-descript on the corner. Sorta looks like a little house that turned into a restaurant. It's great. The Chicken Soup rocks there...
