  1. is this rendered leaf lard, or does one get the, uh, pleasure of doing that in in one's own kitchen?

      It is big globs of intact fat so the pleasure of rendering is yours.... =) On the other hand it was dirt cheap compared to internet sources.

      1. I think this is what I get for waiting a day. It was all gone when I went this morning. According to the buyer it comes in on Fridays.

        1. But when you render it, it is soft. How do you blend it with flour for a pie crust?

            chill it and it will firm up again. it'll be slightly softer than butter (lower in saturated fats).
