Egg Stuck to a Stainless Steel Bowl

I was trying out a new method of making scrambled eggs and I used a stainless steel mixing bowl over a pot of water for a make shift double boiler. The eggs turned out great, but now a day later I have egg stuck to the bowl and I can get it off!? Any suggestions?

  1. Sorry Rick, I cracked up when I read your headline... That sometimes happens to me when I make a frittata in one of my stainless steel pans, and my favorite cleaner is Barkeeper's Friend for anything stainless. I always keep a tin of it around, and a little goes a long way. Great investment, IMO... It's available at most grocery stores, around San Fran anyway. Good luck!

    1. The big secret to washing things that eggs were cooked in... use cold water. Hot water just sets the proteins in the egg that much more.
