dinner within a 20 minute drive of oakland airport

This Saturday, we're having dinner w/ friends and need to pick up someone at Oakland airport later in the evening.

Thoughts re someplace good for dinner that's no more than a 20 minute drive to the airport?

    There's also an Italian place right by the airport... I think its been mentioned once or twice on the board.

      You could head to the Fruitvale district and go to one of the sit-down joints. El Huarache Azteca and Oatez are both good.

        C'Era una Volta in Alameda. Ten-minute drive to the airport on surface streets, so no need to worry about freeway backups. Or Speisekammer, similar location.

          Also in that same part of Alameda: Pappo, where we had a very nice dinner the other night.
