My office recently relocated to Belmont and so I'm in search of yummy lunch places in the area. Any suggestions? I think there are a number of good kebab places. Any of them any good?

Casual burgers: Marvin Gardens on Old County Rd (cash only)
Italian sandwiches and other deli items: A.G. Ferrari on El Camino and Ralston
Casual American deli with awesome garlic oil in sandwiches: Lorenzo's just north off of Ralston, east of Alameda de las Pulgas, I think the street is Villa?
Japanese: Sushi Monster on Ralston, on the first block west of El Camino
Italian: Vivace on Ralston, about a block east of Alameda de las Pulgas
Soup: Lunardi's supermarket in Carlmont Village Shopping Center at Ralston and Alameda. Love their Italian Wedding Soup and Clam Chowder.
Dim Sum: China Village on Ralston, within the block east of Old County Road
Mexican: Tacos & Burritos--take Ralston west from Hwy 101, turn right (north) at first light on Hiller and it's on the left.

The Van's Restaurant- up the hill from El Camino Real-is housed in a building with an interesting history. Although the food is upscale the prices are old-fashioned reasonable. The food is mostly Italian standards, seafood and steaks plus a low-carb is made available too. Views are out over the bay. One Fourth of July, we were seated in the upstairs room and the lights were turned down once the fireworks started so we could see the displays from three different cities.

There is a great bar with free drinks on Thursdays- during happy hour-if your name is one of the two printed at random in the monthly flyer. The Van's is a friendly neighborhood spot open for lunch and dinner.
