Decca77 is supposed to be very good, high-end stuff. I've never been, but it was in one of the local paper's end of year best. It is quite expensive.

There is a also the controversial Queue de Cheval steakhouse right by, it's the most expensive in the city, I've rarely heard bad things about the meat, but the service and total costs have put off may Chowhounders in past.

How much to you want to spend? This will narrow down some choices further.

Decca77 is amazing. Actually, they have a prix fixe for $35 that is made especially for pre-events at the Bell Centre. The food is high end, the price is not and the ambiance is somwhat upscale but you can still be casual and not feel out of the place. Do yourself a favor and go. Queue de Cheval - to be avoided IMO, unless you like to pay for an overpriced steak and be insulted by waiters...

Why don't you just skip the game entirely and send me the tickets?

This way you'll be able to enjoy all the best this city has to offer! I'll even give you a 2 very nice bottles of wine to enjoy at one of our upscale BYO establishments. :)

Seriously, Brasserie Brunoise, sister establishment to Brunoise on the plateau is scheduled to open *soon* at 1012 de la montagne right next to the center. If it open in time, it will probably be well worth it as their 1st location has received numerous rave reviews.

I would just eat at the Baton Rouge, it's a chain restaurant but it's right next door to the Bell center and has fantastic Ribs !!

Depends on the type of food you want, the atmosphere, the price and the time you'll have before going to the game.
