  1. The PB ball recipe I make is a confection and has no rice crispies.

    1 lb dry roasted peanuts
    1 lb confectionary sugar
    1 1/2 sticks salted butter (softened)
    1 cup graham crumbs

    12 oz. milk or dark chocolate (or both)

    Grind peanuts until completely smooth. Transfer peanut butter to stand mixer w/paddle attachment and add sugar, butter and graham crumbs. Mix until well combined. With mini scoop, form balls onto coolie sheet lined with parchment. Chill for 1/2 hour. Melt chocolate and dip balls and let dry.

    Hope this is what you were looking for.

    1. If you like reese's, they are very similar. You can leave out the crumbs which give it some texture.

      1. This sounds great. I'm going to try it.

        1. My mother in law makes "Buckeyes", which is about the same as the recipe posted:

          1 cup creamy peanut butter
          1 stick butter or margarine, melted
          2 cup confectioner sugar

          Blend all.

          (optional) Fold in
          1 cup Rice Krispies

          Form small balls and freeze.

          Roll in 1 bag(12 z) melted chocolate chips and let dry.

          However, I grew up with something like this recipe:

          * 1/2 cup honey
          * 1 cup peanut butter
          * 2 cups nonfat dry milk (unreconstituted-dry)

          Mix well together (we used our hands) and roll into balls. Keep them covered so they don't dry out.
