Italian Suggestions in West Village

I am looking for a moderately priced Italian in the West Village that is large enough to seat 8. I tried Po and Lupa, but they are not available. I would love to find something that is as good as the before mentioned places, but not as expensive and hard to get into as Babbo. Thanks for your help.

D' Andrea is a great choice, the food was good, the waiters nice and relaxed, overall a good experience.

Personally I believe Otto to be overrated in terms of food and experience. It’s jammed, though the olive oil gelato will bring me back there. I curse Mario Batali for that.

Piccolo Angolo comes recommended, on the corner of Hudson and Jane, so you might want to think about that as well.

Piccolo Angolo for a party of 8 would be tough in space that small. While I agree that Da Andrea is very good, I am not sure how well it will accomodate a larger party. I was just there recently with a party of 6 and we were in pretty tight.

You should definitely try to go to D'Andrea on Hudson Street between Perry and W. 11th. But be sure to call ahead since you're a large party. Great food, less expensive than the places you mentioned.

If you have a party of 8, you can try Crispo. They have a separate alcove that they keep available for larger parties.
