Bar that serves appetizers and maybe does some catering?

I'm looking for a bar for a casual party. I don't want to reserve the whole place, but I'd like to provide food/appetizers for the guests.

Can anyone recommend a roomy bar that does good eats and that might work with me on the catering?

Bliss Bar on 24th in Noe has a back room you can reserve for parties. They don't serve food at the bar so allow you to bring in anything you want as far as that goes. I had a birthday there a few years ago and they couldn't have been nicer. The owner even let me pick my platters up the next day and had washed them for me.

Thirsty Bear is good for events like this, and I think their food has improved lately. They do Spanish tapas and regular bar food type apps. They also have a loft area that they rent out for parties.

Cesar in Berkeley has a large private room that would work well. It's a tapas bar, so the food is much better (and more expensive) than your standard bar fare.

Cesar in Berkeley will rent out the whole place for private parties, but I've never heard of a private room.
