A sushi find in Metuchen, NJ

i recently came upon this tiny new sushi place called Sushi Suzuki located right near the metuchen train station on New Street. they opened about a month ago, but i haven't had a chance to try it until now. great place to have a quick bite at the sushi bar or stop off for some take out after a long day's work. it's tiny...only a few tables, but that just adds to the ambience. i sat at a table in the main dining area and the owner himself walked over to check on us and make sure everything was fine with our meal. the service was friendly and quick, the fish was suprisingly fresh, and the portions were a generous size. definitely worth a try if you're a sushi lover and you're in the area.

  1. How's the parking around there?

    1. there's plenty of metered street parking out front and around the corner, which isn't bad actually. i went there around dinner time on a weekday and i had no problem finding a spot right out front. plus, i think the meters are only enforced til about 6pm. i also noticed a big parking lot immediately behind where the restaurant's located, but i'm not sure if you can park there.

      1. This place has quickly become one of our favorite around-friendly atmosphere, excellent quality and imaginative rolls.

If in the area, check out Yoshi's Sushi on Pearl Street (across from the train station), in Woodbridge. They have some coupon specials going for dinner. BYOB. The eel is really fresh! Love this place. Going to check out Suzuki's too, thanks !
