Ghali's Kitchen new location

Today I noticed them inside the Queen St. Market (the foodcourt-like place across from CityTV). I spoke with the woman serving me and she said they moved to this location about a month ago after their rent was getting too high. I recognized the name from reading about them on Chowhound and elsewhere. I never tried their food before.

I ordered the jerk pork sandwich and a vegetable soup before I remembered that their signature dish is the "rasta pasta". I definitely have to try that next time. The sandwich was tasty, and the spicy soup hit the spot.

It seems they're still setting up their place a bit. Eventually it looks like they'll have a hot table with a bigger selection.

A great addition to the neighbourhood. Finally, something a little different.

I'm so glad they haven't closed forever! I was so sad when I saw cardboard over the windows of their old location, and thought that another interesting Toronto chowspot was gone.

I'll fer sher check them out in their new location the first chance I get. I hope it works out for them, they have such a neat concept.

My condolences. But you still have Cajun Corner, Cafe Vert. . .
