Which Portland Japanese restaurant would you recommend for a gift certificate?

    Perhaps Syun Izakawa (Hillsboro. . .but easy MAX access). Murata'd've been my first choice too, though.

        I've never been to Masu (or Masu East on SE 28th), but I have heard good things. It is a bit upscale and more untraditional, where Murata is as traditional as it gets.

          Went to Murata, they are sold out of gift certificates. Go figure. Masu?
