I'M HAVING A BIRTHDAY PARTY FOR MY 99 YEAR OLD GRANDMOTHER IN JANUARY,I'M LOOKING FOR A GREAT BIRTHDAY CAKE,ANY BAKERY IDEAS? ANYONE TRIED TASTEFUL CAKES IN CORONA?

I KNOW OF A BAKERY BUT IT'S ALL THE WAY IN E.L.A. ITS ON 3857 E. WHITTIER BLVD, LOS ANGELES CA CALLED EL PARAISO BAKERY. I ACTUALLY BOUGHT A CAKE THERE CALLED 1000 OJAS. WHICH STANDS FOR ONE THOUSAND LAYERS OF LEAFS. THIS IS JUST A NAME FOR THE CAKE. THE CAKE IS MADE OF VERY THIN LAYERS OF BREAD. I MEAN IT WAS THE BEST CAKE. I BOUGHT A CAKE FOR 60 DOLLARS. THIS WAS THE MOST AMAZING CAKE I HAVE EVER TRYED. COMPLETELY HAPPY.

Next time try Simple Simons downtown Riverside. I have not been there in years but they used to have great cakes. There was a cake place in Claremont downtown, I think it was called upper crust or something like that.

I know this has long past.. but regarding tasteful cakes in Corona. I ordered a cake there for a friends birthday. It was terrible. Tasteless cake and the frosting was like rubber in both taste and texture. This was medium sized round cake for $60! Not worth it. Big dissapointment.

I wish I had known .We ordered the cake for my Grandmother's birthday party and i agree with you,it was terrible!! Beautiful cakes but no taste and expensive.
