Western Breakfast in Japan??

tobin Dec 19, 2006 11:08 AM

Has anyone come across a decent cafe/restaurant serving Western Breakfast such as a variety of pancakes, egg scrambles, tofu scrambles, hashbrown dishes, quality coffee/teas?

I'm thinking a long the lines of a neighborhood type place versus a hotel or chain place.

Any feedback greatly appreciated.

West Park Cafe is one of the best I've come across.

I've only been to the Yoyogi-uehara one, but I bet the others are just as good.

Most of the hotels do a Western breakfast, but I think nothing beats Tsukiji at 5am or so, eating at the little diners with the fish men. The best toast set around, but they do eggs as well.

Can you still get beer at Denny's in Japan?

Fujimamas just off Omotesando behind kiddyland do good breakfasts and an ok bloody mary. Specialty is eggs benny with a twist on crab cakes not muffins...yum.
If you want to avoid kids on Sat/sun go a little late, 12pm+
