OC breakfast suggestions for the 24th

Would like some suggestions about where a group of girls could have a good late breakfast on the 24th. Any kind of place is ok, upscale, diner whatever. We will drive for a good meal- any location from Newport to North county to Long Beach. Everyone is really openminded and likes to eat great food. We will probably need to be able to linger a bit over coffee. Thanks for your help.

  1. I want to say BELISLE's on Harbor and Chapman but it's been gone for 7 years now. It was the go-to answer for serious food in mass quanity.
Today the answer is probably the ORIGINAL PANCAKE HOUSE on Lincoln in Anaheim. Expect a vicious line waiting outside.

    1. Head to downtown Orange, to the circle. It WILL be crowded that day but you have plenty of options and some good walking/last minute shopping. The Filling Station is great for breakfast or anytime. Then there's Lucca Cafe, the Blue Frog Bakery.... and for cheese and wine shopping, Frog's Breath......and, no, I don't have any financial interest in any businesses there, I just live in the neighborhood. Have fun!

      1. I have really been enjoying Plum's Cafe in Costa Mesa on 19th St. An even better choice if the weather is nice would be Sage in Newport Beach (eastbluff) for the nice outdoor patio. Both have great food.

Woops. Yes..19th St is a very different food adventure.

I COMPLETELY agree with Plum's, but it will be crowded.

For a place that can also offer some retail therapy and a cool breeze, go to Pacific Whey Cafe over at Crystal Cove Promenade. That bakery selection can drive a person to gluttony. You've got PCH in front of you, and places to walk off your meal. Oh, and of course Starbucks next door to keep you company.
