Latke alert - All you can eat latkes at Delancy Street

So while waiting for the car to be repaired, the only thing I had to pass the time was Sunday's pink section in the Chronicle which I read from cover to cover ... many times.

However, there was a interesting article that mentioned that during Hanakah Delancy Street serves all you can eat latkes.

They also mentioned another interesting source for latkes - Firefly. These sounded quite good and it seems reservation are needed ...

"Hand-grated and made with a small amount of matzo meal instead of flour, these babies hit all the right notes for texture, saltiness and temperature -- thin and crisp, with a soft, chewy interior."

Anyone tried either?

I have had the latkes at Delancy Street, but I cannot make a judgment call other than that it's delicious because I haven't had latkes anywhere else.

On that particular visit, my friend and I were especially greedy and got the shoe string onion rings, fries, and latkes. We devoured it all.

I've had the potato latkes at Firefly for Passover. They hit the spot.
