Chocolate Cake left in refrigerator... please tell me if it's still edible/freezable.

I have a partially-eaten chocolate mud cake that's been in my fridge since Wednesday morning (went away for the weekend and completely forgot to wrap it and toss it in the freezer). Now, it's Monday. Can I still wrap the cake and freeze it, or am I already past the point of no return?

  1. Taste it. It is probably a little more dry now, but if it tastes all right otherwise, no problem. When you serve it later you can always add a little creme anglaise, creme fraiche, or something of the sort to compensate for the dryness.
