Does anyone know where to buy Vegemite in Toronto? I haven't been able to find it for about 6 mths and heard that it's no longer being imported into Canada.

  1. I'm pretty sure I've seen Marmite at Loblaw's. It's similar, isn't it?

    1. Whole Foods had it a month or so ago, I'm almost positive.

FlavoursGal--yes, they're very similar (tho Marmite is better LOL). If you were raised on Marmite, Vegemite never passes your lips, and if you are related to an Australian, Marmite isn't a word you recognize.

      1. You can also try No Frills. I know the one in Cabbagetown (Parliament, just south of Carlton) carries it.

              1. White House Meats on Bayview has a whole bunch of them. Bought four jars just before Christmas. The guy there told me the location on Bloor West stocks it too.

                1. According to a recent Toronto Star article, "A Bit of Home" in Mississauga has both vegemite and marmite.

Good Egg in Kensington Market has Marmite, bought some last week for a friends birthday. It's what he asked for, and who am I to question a bizarre birthday request...at least he didn't want a Marmite cake...

                  2. I've seen vegemite at Sobey's (I forgot which location)....but that was probably sometime last year.
