I make the mistake of baking my chocolate chip cookies on waxed paper! It was late night and I totally wasn't thinking? Do you think if I scrapped the bottom of the cookie with a serated edge the any wax that was baked in the cookie will be eliminated or was it baked into the whole cookie. Anyone out there have a solution? Thanks!!!

How do they taste? It is not the best choice since waxed paper tends to get a bit smoky in the oven but we used it for years prior to abundantly available parchment when baking cakes. If they don't taste smoky or waxy don't worry about it there is nothing in the wax that will harm you.

Try them and see. Wax paper is made of paraffin which is edible (produce is often waxed with it to make them shiny and it's in those melting candy molds). If it doesn't affect the taste, it's probably fine.
