Looking for a good fish market to purchase Maine lobster in Orlando area...preferably in Seminole County. I used to go to Lombardi's, but it looks like they closed a while back. Any suggestions would be greatly appreicated!

Thanks!

  1. The Lombardi's in Winter park might still be open I believe

    1. Also the FL seafood page has the following listing:

      Lighthouse Seafood
101 North Country Club Road, Suite 127
      Lake Mary, FL 32746
      Seminole County
      Telephone: (407) 330-2425
      Retail Market

      1. LOBSTER MARKET IN wINTER pARK SELLS TO THE RESTAURANT TRADE. CALL THEM TO SEE IF THEY WILLSELLTO THE GENERAL PUBLIC. THEY BUY DURECT WEEKLY FROM MAINE ANDSHIP IT T THEMSELVES - VERY FRESH!

        1. Lombardi's in Winter Park is still open, went there Sunday. Call ahead though to be sure they have them.

Many area Publix and Albertson's have live lobsters in tanks, call around.

Also the Chinese Maketplace, a Cantonese restaurant and live seafood retail store on Mills just north of Little Vietnam in Orlando usually has them. Again I'd call ahead.

Most civilians who have no direct connection to the restaurant business don't have much luck with the wholesalers like Lighthouse, although they may be an exception. The wholesale-only places just don't want to be bothered and their customer service, refund if they are bad-type issues aren't very good.

I've also had good luck buying them on the internet, although shipping costs can be an issue . . .

          1. Lombardi's is probably your best bet
