Hot chocolate is as elegant as ever.

Prominent flavours in the macarons (they call them Luxembourgers): coffee, pumpkin, cinnamon, pistacchio and chocolate (my favourite, no surprise I guess). They're a bit too much on the chewy side, without the crisp, brittle texture to balance. But are otherwise just fine.

The cannele was decent but nothing exceptional. A good glazed crust, the centre could be more custardy, a nice touch of orange, but could use more vanilla.

Microwaved snacks were better than one would expect. Fish cake was a bit soggy from the microwaving etc... but had good spicy flavour.

A fried dough shell enclosing a big pouch of spinach was quite satisfying, a nicely salted. The chicken version was merely ok, and could use more onions imho.

LA Burdick's hot chocolate is a dessert in itself. I remember my voice teacher telling all of us in her class NOT to stop at LA Burdick's on the way to class as we would not be able to sing for a week(as the chocolate is so decadent and will coat your throat and make it hard to sing). Ha!
