Cynsa Dec 17, 2006 06:00 PM

There's activity at Cafe Organica this morning - the new owners are training with Eton today and will open in January.

We can only hope they will take the coffee as serious as Eton and his wife Jane did. Here's wishing the new owners luck.

That is stupendous news! I have been waiting for something to happen in this spot since I moved to the neighborhood, and I know residents miss the old Cafe Organica. Yay!

I drove by today. There's a small sign in the window announcing that they will reopen in February.

What and where is Cafe Organica? I'd like to know since everone is speaking so highly of it.

Café Organica was a 'third wave coffee' house on the corner of Grove and Central in the city. They were as good or better then either Ritual or BlueBottle. Their claim to fame was they offered at least four different choices of espresso beans from different first class vender's.

When they closed there were many questions and speculation for the reason, other than not making money.

One can hope the new owners have the same philosophy as Eton did when he owned the café. I do know that Eton did or was training the new owners , but we will just have to wait and see.
