I urge all of you to go to Hurapan Kitchen - the new Asian - Thai restaurant in the W.Village. They serve a delicious lunch - particularly the peking duck paratha (featured in Time Out NY a couple of weeks back) that is accompanied by some great yucca fries. Wonderful service as well.
I second the recommendation. I went there for dinner and the food was excellent and the service good too.
Thailand is on the Asian continent, so what on earth does "Asian - Thai" mean? Do they call their food "Asian - Thai"? It sounds like a "pan-Asian" fusion place (and maybe even beyond Asia), based on your descriptions of what you ate.
