I'm coming home but I haven't lived in the bay area in 8 years...

Anybody know where the best place to score a delicious plate of chicken rice? I will be in the east bay and in San Jose over several days, so places in SF down to SJ is fine.

thank you

Saigon Seafood in Richmond used to have a pretty popular version that I saw alot of people order -- however, they are currently under construction due to fire damage.

They have a 2nd location on Lawrence Expressway in Sunnyvale which should also serve it.

Singapore-Malaysian in SF makes pretty good hainan chicken rice.

So far, I like the Hainan chicken lunch plate at Hong Kong Saigon Seafood in Sunnyvale the best -

It's the sister to the burnt-out restaurant in Richmond mentioned above.

        Singapore-Malaysian offers a fried option that's tasty.

Singapore-Malaysian offers a choice of steamed or fried chicken.

I really enjoy the Hainan Chicken rice at Prima Taste in San Jose.
