Anyone know where to get great Pizzelles in Philadelphia? I have had some homemade pizzelles, but I know there has to be a bakery in South Philly that makes great pizzelles from scratch everyday.

I've gotten great pizzelles at Cacia's bakery in Hammonton. I don't recall the name of the pizelles, however. The original Cacia's (there are more than one in Philly) probably carries the same ones.

I think they are homemade in the La Casa Dolci,on the corner of Rhawn and Castor. In any event, everything they make is delish, including cannolia and strata whatever--the one that looks like a clam shell and has a bit of custard and dried fruit inside.

      Great pastas and sauces also.

Isgro's in the 1000 block of Christian. The classic for all things Italian and sweet at Christmas.
