Red Wine for Sangria

Can anyone recommend a red wine for sangria.

I usually use Sangre de Toro (not Gran Sangre de Toro). Costs around $7-8 or $15 for a magnum.

O would suggest a fruity, but not very tannic wine.
A good, low cost option would be Pepperwood or Bogle Syrah,
both should be found in most wine sources.
