Mako Bowl in Pasadena - anything similar?

I work in NE Pasadena and lately have been on a Mako Bowl kick. A small teriyaki bowl and a side of edamame is a great lunch (esp with that spicy powder - anyone know what it's called?)

I like that it's cooked fresh to order, the chicken and veggies are all prepared right there before your eyes and it's quick and cheap.

Any rec's for anything else similar in the area (say within a 10 min drive)?

  1. Taisho in Monrovia...I believed owned by the same at the corner of 5th and Huntington, across from the Claim Jumper. A little farther out in La Verne is the tiniest little hole in the wall you've ever seen, the Bowl House, also serving some very good bowls for less that $5. Just east of the corner of 3rd and D Streets.

B-Man's has two locations, in San Marino on the corner of San Gabriel and Huntinton (in the How's shopping center) and in Glendora on Alosta, about 1/2 a block east of Alosta.

    1. There's another Mako Bowl on Colorado at Mentor, east of Lake.
