Does anyone have comments about this cookware? I have a friend who says it's the best purchase she's made for her kitchen. I am so in need of some decent cookware, but the price on this set gives me pause. Anyone have it or can comment or recommend something else? I am pretty new to cooking and have been making do with some old reverware, but I don't like it and would like to get a decent set. This is the AmeriWare stuff:

wookyluvr, I just looked at the link to this cookware, and the first thing I noticed is that each and every piece is non-stick. This is NOT what you want if you're upgrading to a set that you want for years and years.

I've recently gotten rid of all of my non-stick pans, due to their possible toxicity. Aside from this, the best cooking (and searing, caramelization, etc.) is done in uncoated pots and pans.

I just bought Costco's Kirkland 13-piece set for my daughter as a gift. It's got stainless steel surfaces with an inner core (bottom only, I believe) of copper and 2 layers of aluminum. Haven't tried it yet, but other people have reviewed it well. I don't see it at costco.com, so it may only be available in-store.
