Thank you Chowhounds...for my Xmas gift.

I have many things to be thankful for that you all have given me this past year.

The Mac and Cheese at Eastern Standard
The Cuban Sandwich at Chez Henri
The Mussels at Aquitaine

And yet tonight, I had two simple slices of cheese pizza at Armando's in Cambridge. I'm a New Yorker born and raised, and as I told the guy at the counter, those were the first two real slices of pizza I've had in two and a half years.

And so you have made me very happy and my Christmas has come early. I smiled when I saw Armando's, as it looks just like a Brooklyn pizza place. The reviews on another site would have led me to believe it was a fancy, big deal place. But that's why I love you guys and this site.

I thank you. My stomach thanks you. Merry Christmas, Hannukah and Kwanzaa to all...

Ha! My ol' school Cambridge cab driver the other night told me how he knew 'Mando from back in the day (and also Jim from the Forest Cafe). What's funny is that 'Mando and my other favorite pizza place family (from Mamma Mia's in Kingston, MA just off exit 9 on route 3A south) are from the same little town in Italy. So if you're ever heading to the South Shore...

Nice post Dreamworks and i feel the same way about Chowhounds. I like Armandos and glad you enjoyed it. However, I'm still amazed at how good the pizza is in Brooklyn or New Haven.
