Jar-like dining in OC?

TheSpaceman Dec 15, 2006 12:53 AM

For our 11th anniversary, my husband and I would like to leave the twins with their grandparents in Huntington Beach and have a nice dinner Sunday or Monday night. Nothing *too-too* fancy -- something along the lines of Jar in L.A., Region in San Diego, Auriga in Minneapolis. (I'm not sure what you'd call a restaurant like that -- slow food?) Any suggestions?

I have never been to Jar. Looking at their website tells me it is high quality American Cuisine in a relaxed atmosphere.

Take a look at Park Ave.

Also..take a look at both Sage restaurants.

You might enjoy The Melting Pot in Irvine. The atmosphere is great, the booths are very high so you have privacy and the food is excellent.
