Dim Sum in SGV for a group of 10- which places take reservations? And/or which place will have the shortest wait?

Hi all, on Saturday, 8-10 of us are going to hit a San Gabriel Valley dim-summery. We're thinking of trying NBC or Triumphal Palace or 888 (been to Sea Harbour, New Concept, Ocean Star, and 281 seems too fancy). Does anyone know if any of those will take reservations? Failing that, which of them is likely to not have a really long wait for a large-ish group at aroun 10:30 on a Saturday?

Thanks!

It shouldn't be more than 10 minutes or so at 888. I went there a few weeks ago. At 10AM, they had plenty of open tables, including those that seat 10.

At 10:30 on a Saturday there shouldn't be any wait at NBC or 888 -- if there is it's likely to be only 5-10 minutes, and they routinely seat partial groups so you can call out to the stragglers and let them know where you are.

Most order off-the-menu joints will take reservations (e.g. Triumphal Palace, New Concept, Sea Harbour, Mission 261).

Order off the cart places, it's more touch and go, but the larger your group the better your chances.

Still at 10:30 on a Saturday, the wait shouldn't be too long -- may 10 to 15 minutes, 30 minutes tops.

triumphal palace will take reservations for a group that size. In my opinion, that is also the best of the three restaurants you mentioned.
