what to do with leftover pasta?

I usually don't keep pasta but I did. What can you do with it and keep it from getting overcooked and mushy?

Spaghetti frittata. Very versatile. You can add leftover meat (sliced meatballs are great), fresh herbs, assorted cheeses, veggies, whatever. I think Marcella Hazan may have a master recipe.

Mix with egg and/or cheese, pour into a casserole and bake until bubbly. It won't be mushy.

My dogs love it. One, in the "teen" years would carry wads up to her nest. Totally typical of mom's finding those dirty plates under the bed. Gave me a big laugh.

One thing you can do is make a pasta salad - if it's not recooked, it's not going to get overcooked.

I usually don't have a problem if I store the pasta separately from the sauce. I just put the sauce on the pasta when I reheat (usually in the microwave).

Would your pasta be in the form of spaghetti by any chance? If so, you might consider Spaghetti Pancake by Jane Brody...I've made it for breakfast when sons were all teens and we still love it:
