kurofune ramen in tokyo (ramen review)

one of my final ramen shops in tokyo before trucking on down to warmer (and more tonkotsu-rich) climes was kurofune ramen, the assari-kei pet project of yasuji morizumi, chef behind chabuya and chabuton (and the "TV CHAMPION!" of ramen). was it good? gaaaah... the spicy miso ramen was ok. the shio broth had a more unique flavor that wasn't altogether bad, but alas i didn't order that one so i could merely sample a spoonful. i've come to believe that morizumi is all hype actually. chabuya in L.A. doesn't live up to its potential, and this new shop (there are branches all over tokyo if i'm not mistaken) is really nothing memorable.

Hmm, sounds like a waste of time to me from your experience. Not sure if it's even worthy of posting. But I can understand checking it out based on the TV accolades...Just FYI, the highest ranking one of these shops on RamenDatabase is #665.
