deep fryers

any opinions on the best brand of deep fryer, and where i can buy one in so.florida? i have had deep fried turkeys friends have made; has anyone ever tried cuts of beef? what work best?

  1. I don't have the answer but if you plan to do this be prepared to fork out another $50 for the oil, which surely won't last too long. this is an expensive proposition.

    1. Yeah, the Turkey sized fryer can be a committment and a chore, but regular electric dutch ovens and deep fryers do a great job for smaller things and are fun!

      Marinated / spatchcocked (cut open at the backbone and flattened) Cornish Hens dusted lightly in flour is a great and unusual thing to deep fry...

      Raw bread dough flattened or rolled into balls, deep fried, and drizzled with butter and honey...

      Boneless Leg of Lamb sections treated like the Cornish Hens...

      Drizzled after with an herbed Olive Oil or Chimichurri...

      Stuffed and crimped Wonton wrappers!

      Ravioli dusted in flour, eggwash, then seasoned bread crumbs...
      Toss em' in!
