Best Abalone/Shark Fin restaurants?
Which places make the best: abalone, buddha's delight, shark fin, etc?
Know of any places that offer smaller menus for 3-4, instead of a table of 8-10?

I have not been in a while but, Dragon Dynasty in Scarborough does a lovely set dinner (very expensive $600-$700 for table of 8 I think), that includes braised sharks fin, buddhaa's delight and several other dishes.
Of all the good restaurants that cater to your criteria, I believe 'Regal 16' on 1 Spadina Road ( corner of Spadina and 16 Ave., ) in Richmond Hill offers some of the best made abalone and sharkfins in town. Very similar in quality and taste to some of the best Hong Kong restaurants.

do you know if they have any smaller sets instead of the full tables?
Sam woo, celestial, and that place in times square used to be good, but I've had some "fishy" smelling sharkfin there, which was also hard to find in the bowl. I don't mind paying more if the dish acutally has alot of high-grade ingredients in it.
Also, know of any places that will prepare expensive ingredients that I bring in?
I'm pretty sure most chinese restaurants would be willing to prepare ingredients that you bring in ie. shark fin. Note that they will charge you for the work. Nevertheless it is a good option so don't hesitate to speak to them about it. I've done it with fresh Sea bass and it was awesome.
