Great bakery in Edison

Stumbled across this place in a strip mall on Rt-1 in Edison: Les Gâteaux bakery.

On top of regular European-style desserts, it makes the most fantabulous Asian desserts - sweet bean buns, coco buns, sesame buns, etc, in a variety of shapes and sizes.

I bought a coffee sponge roll and some mini white bean paste buns for an office b-day - $12 total. And not even a bite left afterwards!

I'm definitely buying all my Xmas party hostess gifts here.

They also have some interesting-looking breads that I'm dying to try. I'll report when I do.

Yes, that's the place I was thinking of. They also have great iced tea drinks.

Heading south it's located after the first light (Post rd) past Ray Catena on the right hand side and it's very easy to miss. The strip mall is next to the giant Asian market which is very hard to miss.

Is this the place by the computer store and Chinese Bookshop? They make good coffee too.

Sounds like an interesting little spot. Where exactly on Route 1 is it?

It's in an Asian stripmall about a mile or two north of Plainfield Ave. If you're driving north, it'll be on your left and you'll need to make a u-turn.
