Where to find cello gift bags in Manhattan or Bkln?

prunefeet Dec 13, 2006 08:07 PM

I want to buy some decorative cello bags for xmas goodies, and would prefer to go out and buy them if possible, rather than order online. Any ideas?

Thanks Rachael333, I think I'm going for that option, I was thinking of buying some of their very gorgeous wrapping paper anyway.

Ooo, thanks. I live pretty close, and will be in that area. I'll try that first.

I used to buy them from card stores like Hallmark or gift wrap stores. Also dollar stores stock them. I think I bought some on b'way one time in the 80s and also there was a store around 86th on the Eastside that sold them.

              NY Cake Supply

56 West 22nd off 6th Ave, around corner from Inst. Culinary Edu.

They close early. You can order online, too. www.nycake.com

I saw lots of options at the Container Store - there's one on 6th Ave - in the teens? - and also one somewhere around Midtown East - maybe 59th St.

I'm pretty sure William Sonoma has them too - I'd call first though.
