What to get at SONA?

I know Sona has been dissed alot on the boards of late, but I'm eating there tonight on the company's dime. So, any menu recs? Thanks, hounds!

    must agree with tasting menu. But be prepared to spend some money. It's the kind of place that will serve you 4 bottles of sparkling water at $15 each without asking.

      I would get the tasting menu (with all due respect to jcwla).

      It's just that type of restaurant -- to get the full experience, tasting menu is the way to go.

      You'll either love it or hate it, but at least you'll have experienced the full panoply of what Sona has to offer when making your decision about this place.

        If they have a soup -- especially artichoke -- get that.
        Their meats, sweetbreads, etc. are good.
        For dessert, fruity things -- tarts/etc. -- rather than their medicinal-tasting chocolate.

        Definitely do NOT get the tasting menu, the place is too inconsistent for that these days.

          Order a big bowl of their best truffles. When you get home update your resume.

            I have had some of the best meals of my life at Sona. Definitely get the tasting menu.
