Lexington, KY ~ Dec 26

Stopping over in Lexington Ky. the night of December 26 and will need food.

We are travelling with a dog and as such, will need either a dog friendly or good take out. Staying at the Hampton Inn on 75.

Especially interested in local favourites and flavours.

  1. I pretty sure it is against health code to be dog friendly in Ky.That said one of my favorite places is Malone's, great steaks.

    1. Here are few of my choices, DeSha's Restaurant at 101 N. Broadway, Dudley's Restaurant 380 S. Mill St,Billy's Bar B Que at 101 Cochran Road, & Old Heidelberg at 855 S.Broadway These are all located within a few miles of each other.

As LaLa has posted,I believe only service dogs are allowed in restaurants.

The enclosed link has a list of the restaurants, along with phone numbers and maps showing where they are located around town. - 50k - Cached - Similar pages

      1. I would second Billy's, even if you have to get takeout -- it's Western KY barbecue (smoked and with a thin, spicy sauce). Another good pick is Ramsey's, mainly for comfort food. Their stock in trade is "meat & three" sides, lots of choices good for cold weather. Plus, you have to try the pie --cherry, MayDay (like Derby Pie) or whatever they have as a special.

        Y'all drive careful!
