Tips for Dining, Eating and Food Shopping in California (exc. LA, SF Bay Area, San Diego)

San Diego Restaurant Week

I've been partaking of this fun way of increasing restaurant patornage the past couple of years. It's a great chance to try some of the places we've all been posting about for a reasonable cost. Here's info from the official website:

San Diego’s third annual Restaurant Week will delight food aficionados once again from Sunday, January 7 through Friday, January 12, 2007!

What is San Diego Restaurant Week?

During these six days only, over 125 spectacular restaurants will offer a special fixed-price, three course dinner menu for just $30 or $40* per person (beverages, tax and gratuity not included). Even food lovers on a budget can indulge in fare from many of the city’s most well known chefs and award-winning, delectable restaurants!

San Diego Restaurant Week is an annual countywide culinary celebration that spotlights the talented chefs and diverse array of wonderful dining establishments that flavor America’s Finest City. The delicious promotion offers diners the opportunity to explore the region's eclectic culinary offerings and learn first-hand why San Diego is quickly becoming one of the nation’s hottest dining destinations.

How do I take part in San Diego Restaurant Week?

No passes, tickets or coupons are required. Instead, diners may simply visit their favorite participating restaurants throughout the week to enjoy the special prix fixe dinner menus. It is strongly recommended that diners make reservations in advance. To make a reservation, diners may contact restaurants directly either by phone or online (when available).
