Authentic Taiwanese Cuisine

As a former ESL teacher in Taiwan, I have a soft spot for the island's local cuisine. Is there anywhere in Toronto that serves tasty Taiwanese delicacies? I'm willing to travel for night-market quality con-jin-tsai and shimin style spicy beef noodle soup.

There's a GREAT spicy beef noodle soup eatary inside the Taco Bell plaza at the corner of Finch and Midland. The beef is better than a lot of similar places in Taipei, ultra tender and delicious! They also serve beef tendons and clear broth variations. If you are really adventurous, try their authentic 'Fried Stinky Tofu'!! Great with hot sauce and Hoisin sauce. Another reliable eatery is next to 'Judy's Kitchen' inside of Time Square, corner of Leslie and Highway 7. Have fun!
